The Ministry of the Holy Spirit

Many expository writings on The Holy Spirit have been published by great men of God, thus this article is simply intended to add my voice to the truth that has been well proclaimed.

We are living in the time when the importance of the powerful manifestation of The Holy Spirit cannot be over-emphasized.

Moreover, we will do well to dust our bibles and individually search out daily for ourselves, how we can maximally benefit from The Ministry of The Holy Spirit before the age closes out and He is withdrawn.

Historically, there are major 3 dispensations in the Bible in which God unveiled His identity to the world, most especially to His people.

In the Old Testament, He revealed Himself as The Father. Psalms 68:5; Isaiah 63:16, Jeremiah 31:9; Matthew 6:9
Although with His help, some took a sneak peek into His future manifestations as The Son, then The Spirit.
Daniel 3:25; Isaiah 9:6; 61:1-2;
Joel 2:28-32; Psalms 54:4; Isaiah 53:12;

In the dispensation of The Son, Jesus came as The Son of God and demonstrated sonship right before our very eyes*, while still being hundred percent God at the same time and left us with the promise of the Holy Spirit after His death, burial and resurrection. *(Although most of us were in the loins of our forefathers then, we inherited the promised) John 3:16-18; John 1:1, 10-14; John 16:5-7.

Please note: All we need as believers to please The Father and function optimally as good sons and daughters of God are in the life and Character of Jesus Christ.

Our Ever Loving, Always Considerate and So Compassionate Father knew we would always need a Part of Him in our sojourn on earth, so He gave His All, in The Person Of The Holy Spirit.

THE WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

1. He is our Helper; our Comforter. John 14:16; 15:26; 16:7; Hebrews 13:6.

2. He convicts the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment. John 16:8-12.

3. He is The Spirit of Truth, therefore He guides us into all truth and will not speak on His own authority but He speaks what He hears and tells us things to come. John 16:13.

4. He is Our Teacher. John 14:26; 15:26
1 Corinthians 2:13.

5. He glorifies Jesus Christ. John16:14-15.

6. He makes intercession for us. Romans 8:26; Hebrews 7:25.

7. He equips us for spiritual warfare
when we build ourselves up on our most holy faith, praying in The Holy Ghost. Jude 1:20.

However, something about being filled with and led by The Holy Spirit attracts temptations but victory is certain in Jesus’ Name as we can see in Luke 4:1-13, (Therefore, be sober, be vigilant, O child of God!)

The Sins Against The Holy Spirit

1. Resisting Him. Acts 7:51
2. Quenching Him. 1Thessalonians 5:19
3. Grieving Him. Ephesians 4:30
4. Blasphemy against The Spirit. Matthew 12:31

Therefore, Apostle Paul admonished us to walk in The Spirit so that we would not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Being led by The Spirit of God demonstrates and validates our sonship which is our deepest relationship with our Heavenly Father. Galatians 5:16; 25, Romans 8.

Friends, there is no better time to live than now when God is still pouring His Spirit upon as many as would have Him rule and reign in their lives.

God bless you all as you tarry daily in His Presence.

Shalom!!
