Philippians 4:6-7
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with Thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your heart and mind through Christ Jesus.”

When Apostle Paul and Pastor Timothy admonished the Christians then, on eliminating fear and anxiety, they shared with them two options; Prayer and Supplication and supported their claim with a driving force called “Thanksgiving”.

Although, nowadays, Thanksgiving has become a First Sunday of the Month activity among some believers, it is the most effective tool, a Christian can ever deploy.

If any of us would sincerely and critically analyze our lives since the beginning of the global pandemic, we would have a thousand and one reasons to be grateful to God.
The fact that we sleep and wake up daily, have food to eat, roofs over our heads, our family and friends are protected and enjoy the same blessings of provision as we do and by God’s special grace, none of us is infected with the virus ravaging the world. Most importantly, we all are saved and are beneficiaries of the safety provided by The Name of Jesus which is more than enough to remind us of how faithful God has been.

Thanksgiving is a natural overflow of a heart that is tuned to God. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 calls it, ‘God’s will for us in Christ Jesus.’

Our thankfulness to God is our vehicle for getting our requests to Him and see His will accomplished in our lives.
This is clearly the best time to show gratitude to God.
Giving Him thanks as many times as possible in difficult times causes the devil to lose the battle he would have won if he had succeeded in making us ungrateful.

As Colossians 3:17 rightly stated that; “Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Jesus, giving thanks to God, the Father through Him”.

Therefore, let us celebrate this new month, the Month of Grace, with a sincere attitude of Gratitude to God even as we continue enjoying God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense in our lives, families and the nation.

To all Beloved Children of The Most High, “Happy New Month!”
