Seed, Seedtime and Harvest: How to honour God through Giving.

“While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.” Genesis 8:22 NKJV

One of the fundamental laws of God’s Kingdom is the law of sowing and reaping. Therefore, it is crucial for all believers to know when and how to sow because it is seasonal.

The Provider and Creator of all seeds is God. He has time and seasons in His Hands and is also The Lord of the harvest.

Why MUST a believer SOW SEEDS?
The answer is simply because God created seed from the very beginning to provide seed for the sower and bread for the eater, meaning HE gives seed to men to plant, thus meeting our need for food, with the EXPECTATION that we will always REMEMBER to PLOUGH back after EACH HARVEST so that we will NEVER LACK what to EAT and SOW every SEASON.

Contrary to the public opinion that there is no need to pay tithes and offerings (with the argument that it is an Old Testament ordinance), or to even give to God’s work and His people because of the fake ministers in Christendom today, who enrich themselves at the expense of their congregations, The Almighty God demonstrated Giving right before our eyes through His Exemplary Life of Giving.

Imagine for a moment, a world without all the living things God freely gave us, most importantly, life without Jesus Christ whose Blood is our Atonement for sin and The Holy Spirit who is our Teacher, Guide, Counselor and Comforter, who also makes daily intercession for us.
These are evidently clear that we can never out-give God.
In fact, He is never broke and will never need anything from us to survive!
Whenever He commands us to give, it is majorly to bless us because giving to Him or towards His work or people is our way of sowing so that we can abundantly reap and that we might always have.

When we give, we receive; when we sow, we reap but anyone who does not give, cannot receive, likewise he who does not sow or who misses out on his seedtime will not have a harvest that season!

It is also very important to note that money is not the only seed we can sow.

Here are some examples of the good seeds to sow and the bad seeds to vehemently avoid:

God bless us all as we obey!

Shalom!!
