SATAN, THE ENEMY OF GOD AND HIS CHILDREN (Part 1)
Who is satan? Who created him? What made him bad? Why does he hate God and His children? How does God expect His children to deal with him? What should I do in order not to be under satan’s influence? Does satan work alone? How does he operate? What is God’s verdict or judgement for him and his cohorts?
We will be looking at these questions in these series of admonition.
WHO IS SATAN?
Isaiah 14:12 calls him Lucifer, son of the morning.
Ezekiel 28: 14 says he was an anointed cherub who covers.
In John 8:44, Jesus calls him the devil, murderer, a liar, father of lies and in John10:10, satan was called the thief who comes to steal, kill and destroy.
An angel of light in 2Corinthians 11:14
He is also the dragon in Revelations 12:3&4
WHO CREATED SATAN?
GOD created satan. In Ezekiel 28 God likened the king of Tyre to satan and gave insight about how he was created in verse 11. As you can see, it was satan who was in the garden of Eden not the king of Tyre who was not born yet.
Ezekiel 28: 13 talks about how he was perfectly created with precious stones.
WHAT MADE SATAN BAD?
“You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, till iniquity was found in you” Ezekiel 28:15.
His INIQUITY was PRIDE. Ezekiel 28:2,17; Isaiah 14: 13-15.
