Common Questions:
1. Who is my enemy and who are our enemies?
2. Why did God create The Enemy, even Our Enemies?
Answers:
1. Satan is our arch enemy and certain individuals whose lives are controlled by Satan, automatically become our enemies because of all their evil schemes and actions against us.
2. God did not create satan or any human being as an enemy. They became enemies by choice. Satan was created as Lucifer, a beautiful and an anointed cherub until iniquity was found in him, thus he rebelled against God. (Read: Isaiah 14:12-21; Ezekiel 28:11-19). Human beings who were perfectly created by God without sin, began following satan willingly after the fall of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden. (Read. Genesis 1:27-31; Genesis chapter 3 through Chapter 6)
It was never the desire, nor intention of Our Good God and Loving Father to make enemies out of satan and humans. He is too loving to be hateful.
When anyone, spirit or human constantly yields his or her vessel to the malevolent powers of darkness, he or she automatically is an adversary of God and His people.
However, satan is the arch enemy of all mankind, most especially believers and there are both spiritual and human forces, he deploys to execute all kinds of wickedness on earth. (Read: John 3:19; Ephesians 6:12).
The instructions Jesus gave in Matthew 5:44 is indeed a tall order.
How can anyone love someone who poses a lot of threats or outright danger or harm to him?
Humanly speaking, “It is much better and wiser to ruthlessly deal with a dangerous person before he or she even gets a chance to harm you”, you would say, Wouldn’t you?
But with Jesus, that is neither wise nor better!
God does not want us to repay evil with evil but to repay EVIL with GOOD!
“What if the evil deed cannot be undone?”, you may also ask!
“Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men.”

God who never overlooks wickedness, He always has plans to recompense every man according to his works. He is never partial neither will HE ever JUSTIFY THE WICKED NOR FORSAKE THE RIGHTEOUS.
HE JUST DOES NOT WANT YOU TO SOIL YOUR HANDS WITH BLOOD OR EVIL, WHILE PLANNING OR EXECUTING VENGEANCE!!
“Therefore the Lord says, The Lord of hosts, the Mighty One of Israel, “Ah, I will rid Myself of My adversaries, And take vengeance on My enemies.”
Isaiah 1:24 NKJV
“Vengeance is Mine, and recompense; Their foot shall slip in due time; For the day of their calamity is at hand, And the things to come hasten upon them.’”

Testimonies abound in Scriptures of how God promised and gave His children victory over their enemies; He still does today!
Your case is not different in Jesus’ Name; no matter who your enemies are!
Jesus who loved us when we were also so
unlovable, has promised the gift of salvation through repentance from sin to every human enemy today, if they will forsake their sins and follow Him. That is why, He asked us to love and pray for our enemies even though it is difficult.
May God grant us the courage and grace to obey His command in Jesus’ Name.
Shalom!
