IT IS NOT AN EASY ROAD

Have you ever taken a ride on a rough and bumpy road when it is the only way leading to your destination?

Or a boat cruise during a storm on the turbulent sea? Perhaps, it was a troubled flight on an aeroplane or a helicopter, knowing full well, there were no alternatives, no pulling over or making a quick stop?

What exactly did you do? Changed course? Changed your mind about the journey? Sought an alternative even when there was none? Counted the cost and took the risks, trusting God to safely lead, protect and guide you?

We all can relate to at least one of these situations and we pulled through successfully with God’s help even when we did not give Him the credit.

Also, like a woman who endures so much discomfort, aches and pains throughout her 9 months pregnancy and finally the travails of labour to usher in a new life, a bundle of joy, a new born baby, so do we have to endure all that life throws at us.

Oftentimes, life seems lonely, cruel, totally absurd that we cannot really make any meaning out of it. In such moments, it is best, to place our lives in The Safe Hands of The One who created all things and has written the scripts we are acting out, allowing Him soothe and ease our pains. He is none other than The Lord Jesus Christ.

His sojourn on earth so perfectly exemplified what we would most likely pass through as believers. He assured us of His peace but warned that in the world, we would have tribulations but we should be of good cheer, He has overcome the world. (John 16:33).

2 Tim 3:12 also says that he who desires to live godly in Christ must suffer persecution.
Somehow , we allow ourselves to believe that there can be glory and honour without test and trial, gain without pain but this is not so. If Jesus carried His cross, we will also carry ours, believe it or not! Otherwise we are none of His.
However, He promised neither to leave nor forsake us and that His grace will be sufficient for us and His strength will be made perfect in our weakness.(2Corinthians 13:9-10)

This is definitely not to say that the christian race is entirely a tale of woes. Just like the rough and bumpy road, there are times, it will be smooth, other times, it will be rough but one thing is certain, it will most certainly lead us safely home inspite of all the challenges.

The Holy Spirit is given to us as Our Guide, Our Teacher and Our Comforter. We should just allow Him do His work in our lives starting from now.

When we walk and work alone, we get weary easily but when we are yoked with Jesus. THE YOKE IS EASY AND THE BURDEN IS LIGHT.

CHILD OF GOD, STAND UP ONCE AGAIN (THOUGH YOU MIGHT HAVE STUMBLED, GRUMBLED AND MURMURED) ENTER BOLDLY INTO THE THRONE OF GRACE TO OBTAIN MERCY AND FIND GRACE TO HELP IN TIME OF NEED. (HEBREWS 4:16) BE BATTLE READY! IT IS NOT OVER.!!

GOD HAS NOT GIVEN UP ON YOU, SO DON’T EVER GIVE UP ON YOURSELF.

Remember, there is always light at the end of the tunnel, rainbow after a heavy storm. HE GIVES BEAUTY FOR ASHES.

GOD BLESS YOU!!!
