The word ‘Refuge’ means the state of being safe or sheltered from pursuit, danger, or difficulty.
* a place or situation providing safety or shelter.
* something to which one has recourse in difficulty.
The word ’Strength’ means the quality or state of being physically strong.
* The capacity of an object or substance to withstand great force or pressure.
To dwell means live in or at a specified place.
* think, speak, or write at length about (a particular subject, especially one that is a source of unhappiness, anxiety, or dissatisfaction).
From generation to generation, Almighty God, The Creator of Heaven and Earth presents Himself to all Mankind as The Refuge, Strength and Dwelling Place but only a few recognise and benefit from this priceless opportunity.
In Psalm 46:1, the sons of Korah acknowledged God as their Refuge and Strength in a song.
“God is Our Refuge and strength, a very present help [An abundantly available help] in time of trouble.”
God was not only a safe shelter for them, He was also Their Readily available Power House and Help in the time of weakness and distress.
In Psalm 28:7-8, David rejoiced in God’s Strength in answered prayer.
“The Lord is my Strength and shield; my heart trusted in Him and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices; and with my song I will praise Him.
The Lord is their strength [the strength of His people], and He is the saving refuge of His anointed.”
In Psalm 91: 1-16 David again, declared the safety of abiding in the Presence of God.
Psalms 91:1-16 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”

Beloved, you may ask, “Why do I need God as my Refuge, Strength and Dwelling Place when everything around me seems fine?” The answer is, “Please, do not wait untill there is calamity, like the whole world is experiencing right now before you take the decision to call upon God”.
Accept Jesus today as your Personal Lord and Saviour. Acknowledge and confess your sins before Him. Repent and forsake your sins whether great or small. (John 3:3-5,16; John 1:1,10-14; Romans 3:23; 10:9; Acts 2: 38-39, 1John 1:9) His Blood was shed for the sins of the whole world, yours also! Then, you will be a partaker of all God’s Divine blessings and become an heir of His Precious Promises as you daily study Him word, worship Him in the beauty of Holiness, pray and spread the good news, sharing the love of Jesus with other people. For everyone who is born again and has made God, Their Refuge, Even The Most High, their Dwelling place.
No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling (because you now dwell in God!) Psalm 91:9-10.
Let us trust God now more than ever, deliberately refusing to dwell on the present circumstances because Our God is always more than able to carry us through every difficult time.
